Our Programs
Pre-Kindergarten/Elementary
Our Primary classes incorporate a Kindergarten/Elementary curriculum. A Montessori classroom is one in which the best education occurs within a multi-age structure, allowing children to learn, not according to chronological age, but according to academic and developmental ability, strength and interest. Our programs include in-services in the arts and sciences, walking adventures and outdoor activities which connect with the academic or social lesson of the month. We have 11 parent committees, and involvement in the school is an important part of what makes our school successful. Parents volunteer time in school or at home in various aspects of school planning and curriculum.

Elementary
The Elementary Montessori curriculum at MEISA inspires students to become independent learners who appreciate and understand their world. Integrated studies provide students with unique and age-appropriate materials that help them to become accountable for their use of time, for accuracy in their work and to evaluate their strengths and areas of growth. Our students have individualized work plans to allow them to use time effectively and to make appropriate choices. Students demonstrate great joy in their learning. Areas of study include Language Arts, Mathematics, Geometry, Physical Science, Biological Science, Geography, History and Physical Education.
Kofi Annan
“There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that their rights are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they grow up in peace.”
